Leon Leroy Trimmingham (born January 2, 1971 ) is a retired American basketball player .

life and career

Trimmingham was particularly known during his playing days for his powerful jumping and attack-oriented work. The 1.98-meter-tall winger from the Caribbean island of Saint Croix (part of the American Virgin Islands ) was a member of the American University in Puerto Rico for a year and then, until 1993, of Briar Cliff University ( Iowa ) in the NAIA . Trimmingham scored 2023 points for Briar Cliff, reaching the fourth-best value in the college team's all-time basketball list.

He took his first steps as a professional basketball player with the Sydney Kings in Australia .
