Nuugaarmiut [ ˌnuːˈɣɑːmːiutˢʰ ] (according to the old spelling Nûgârmiut ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the district of Narsaq in the municipality of Kujalleq .
location
Nuugaarmiut is located on Cape Nuummiut on the northwest tip of the peninsula, on the 6.5 km southeast of Narsaq . Nuugaarmiut is now at the point where the Ikersuaq (Bredefjord) and the Narsap Ikerasaa strait connect.
history
Nuugaarmiut was a residential area about which nothing is known other than that it was abandoned as early as 1870.
