Arnannguit [ ɑˈnːaŋːuitˢʰ ] (according to the old spelling Arnánguit , also Annannguit ) is a Greenlandic shepherd settlement in the district of Narsaq in the municipality of Kujalleq .

location

Arnannguit is one of the numerous shepherd settlements around the end of Tunulliarfik . It is located on the east bank 4.1 kilometers northwest of Kiattuut and 5.5 km south of Qinngua Kangilleq . The nearest town, Narsarsuaq , is 6.2 km to the south-south-east and Qassiarsuk is 6.0 km to the south-south-west.

Population development

In 1977 and 1978 Arnannguit was uninhabited. Since then, the population has moved between one and six people, with the settlement being uninhabited again from 1988 to 1990. The last known population of the shepherd settlements was for 2013. Arnannguit is statistically listed under "Farms near Qassiarsuk".
