Attarnaatsoq [ ˌatːɑˈnːaːt͡sːɔq ] (according to the old spelling Átarnaitsoĸ , also Attarnaatit ) is a Greenlandic shepherd settlement in the district of Narsaq in the municipality of Kujalleq .

location

Attarnaatsoq is located on Tunulliarfik 4.1 km northwest of Igaliku . The shepherd's settlement of Uummannartuuaraq is just 2.6 km south . The settlement is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kujataa and has ruins of the Grænlendingar .

Population development

Attarnaatsoq has only been inhabited since 1983. Since then, the population has moved between one and four people. The last known population of the shepherd settlements was for 2013. Attarnaatsoq is statistically listed under "Farms near Narsaq", although it is much closer to Igaliku.
