Issormiut [ ˈiˌsːɔmːiutˢʰ ] (according to the old spelling Ivssormiut ) is a Greenlandic shepherd's settlement in the district of Narsaq in the municipality of Kujalleq .
location
Issormiut is located on the northwest bank of the Tunulliarfik . 1.7 km to the southwest is Sillisit , while to the northeast it is 4.1 km to Inneruulalik to the next shepherd's settlement . The next larger town is Qassiarsuk , which is 9 km to the north.
Population development
Issormiut used to be one of the larger shepherd settlements with a double-digit population. In the meantime, the number of residents fell to two people and was most recently four residents. The last known population of the shepherd settlements was for 2013. Statistically, Issormiut is listed under “Farms near Qassiarsuk”.
