Tasiusaq [ taˈsiusaq ] (according to the old spelling Tasiussaĸ ) is a Greenlandic shepherd settlement in the district of Narsaq in the municipality of Kujalleq .
location
Tasiusaq is located in the east of a bay of the same name , which flows into the Ikersuaq (Bredefjord). The shepherd's settlement Nunataaq is 2.4 km south . It is 5.5 km to the east to Qassiarsuk to the next larger settlement . The settlement is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kujataa and has ruins of the Grænlendingar .
Population development
Tasiusaq is one of the larger shepherd settlements in Greenland. The population has now decreased from ten to twelve residents to six to seven. The last known population of the shepherd settlements was for 2013. Tasiusaq is statistically listed under "Farms near Qassiarsuk".
