Qanngui [ ˈqaŋːui ] (according to the old spelling K'ángue ) is a deserted Greenlandic settlement in the district of Narsaq in the municipality of Kujalleq .

location

Qanngui is located on the south coast of an island of the same name on Narluneq (Skovfjord). Narsaq is 16 km northeast.

history

Qanngui was settled before 1895. From 1911, Qanngui was part of the Narsaq community.

In 1919, 31 people lived at the living space and lived in five houses. Among them were five hunters, a fisherman and a catechist. The population lived from the seal and fox hunt.

In 1944 the last 18 residents voluntarily left the place, which has since been abandoned.
