Leon von Grabski

Leon von Grabski (born July 1, 1853 in Skotniki , † October 10, 1918 in Gnesen ) was a Polish entrepreneur and politician of the Polish minority in the German Empire .

Life

Grabski attended grammar school in Bromberg from 1861 to 1872 . He then went from 1872 to 1874 in Antwerp to the commercial college "Institut superieur de commerce". He then completed his commercial training in London , Königsberg and Warsaw . In 1882 he was the founder of the sugar factory "Gnesen von Grabski, Jescheck & Comp.".

In Gniezno Grabski belonged from 1884 to 1888 and the city council of. After that he was a member of the local magistrate until 1894 . Since 1894 Grabski was a member of the district committee of the Gnesen district . He also belonged to the Chamber of Commerce in Bromberg since 1895.

Between 1898 and 1908 he was a member of the Polish parliamentary group in the Prussian House of Representatives . He had been a member of the Reichstag since 1903. From 1903 to 1918 he represented the constituency administrative district Bromberg 5 (Gnesen - Wongrowitz).
