Dreine is a village of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The village is located in the northeast of Wipperfürth between the Neyetalsperre and Schevelinger Talsperre . Neighboring towns are Hönnige , Meddenbick , Fly Oak and Niederscheveling . The Dreine brook, which flows into the Hönnige, rises in the village.

Politically, the place is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate from electoral district 3 (030) northeastern urban area.

history

In 1371 the place Dreine was first mentioned under the name "Dryne" . The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows four courtyards and denotes them with "three" . The topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1825 shows "Dreien" with a delimited courtyard and nine individual building plans. From the Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1844, the name "Dreine" , which is common today, is used.
