Location of Ente in Wipperfürth

Ente is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is located in the southwest of the city of Wipperfürth on the city limits to Kürten on the federal road 506 , which was an important military route between Cologne and Dortmund in the Middle Ages . The place lies on the watershed between the Große Dhünn and the Kürtener Sülz . A tributary of the Große Dhünn, the Hirschfelder Bach with its sources Hirschfelder Siefen , Wiebornsiefen and Enter Siefen rises north of the place. Neighboring places are Frösseln , Grunewald , Sommerberg , Hamböcken , Kofeln , Hüffen , Mittelschneppen and Pannenhöh .

The place belongs to the municipal electoral district 160 and thus to the electoral district Wipperfeld .

The "most iconic 2CV meeting in Germany" has been held in Ente since 2012. Founded by Reiner M. Sowa , the friends of the Citroen 2CV (the duck) meet every second Friday of the month in Ente.

history

The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 shows three separate courtyards with five floor plans. According to local history researcher Werner Stefer, there was a Landwehr in Ente to block the Altstrasse.
