Schleise is a court of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The farm is located in the northeast of Wipperfürth in the valley of the Hönnige on the county road K30. Neighboring towns are Wasserfuhr , Hinterwurth and the hamlet of Hammer near Kupferberg . In the east, the Schleise (Hönnige) stream flows past the Hönnige . A tunnel belonging to the Bever block runs under the yard , which leads water from the Hönnige, which is dammed up to the mill pond, into the Schevelinger dam .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate of the constituency 12.1 (121) Kupferberg in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

The Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715 shows a courtyard and describes it as “Schleisen” . From the new Prussian admission from 1894 to 1896, the name "Schleise" , which is common today, is used.
