Lindenstumpf is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).
Location and description
The place is located directly on the southern city limits to Wipperfürth. Neighboring towns are the city of Wipperfürth, Münte and Herzhof .
Politically, Lindenstumpf is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate from electoral district 5 (050) Langenbick and middle Gaulbachtal.
history
In 1465 the place was first mentioned under the name "Tilla" in a register of the University of Cologne. A "Henric de Tilla de Wijperfuerd" is registered there as a student. However, the localization of the place is considered uncertain. From the topographic maps ( Prussian New Admission ) from 1894 to 1896, a floor plan is recorded in the Lindenstumpf area. Lindenstumpf was only named with the topographic map from 1962.
The wooden court cross in the local area of Lindenstumpf was erected in 1937.
