Unterien is a court of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The Hofschaft is in the north of Wipperfürth north of the Neyetalsperre . Neighboring places are Hülsen , Platzweg , Obernien , Hackenberg and Niederscheveling . The Hülsendelle flows into the Neye II in Unterien , which joins the Neye stream after 160 m .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate from electoral district 17.2 (172) Egen in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1548 Obernien was mentioned for the first time in lists of the Bergisch tension and barge services. A Wipperfürth jury list from 1353 names a person from "Neyden" . A mix-up with the town of Neye , west of Wipperfürth, cannot be ruled out. The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows a courtyard and designates it with “u. Never " .
