Berghausen is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Berghausen is located in the southwest of Wipperfürth near the border with Kürten. Neighboring towns are Dahl , Jörgensmühle , Büchel , Alfen , Peffekoven and Hollinden .

The place belongs to the electoral district 150 and thus to the district of Thier .

A tributary of the Dahlbach flows into the Kürtener Sülz in the south of the village .

history

In 1443 the place is mentioned for the first time under the name "Berchusen" in an income and rights list of the Cologne Apostle monastery. The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows four farms and names them "Berghusen" . The topographical photograph of the Rhineland from 1825 shows seven separate floor plans in a delimited courtyard. From this map on, the place name is Berghausen.

In the area of ​​the village there are two crossroads from the years 1773 and 1827.
