Location of Ibach in Wipperfürth

Ibach is a village of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The village is located in the east of Wipperfürth in the Wupper valley on the B237 federal road. Neighboring towns are Neuensturmberg , Böswipper , Boxbüchen and Klaswipper . The Ibach and Klaswipperbach streams flow into the Wupper on the southern outskirts. The Ecksiefen flows into the Ibach in the village.

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidates from electoral district 13 (130) Ohl and Claswipper in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

The topographic map ( Prussian New Admission ) for the years 1894 to 1896 shows a sawmill, a cemetery and enclosed courtyards on the site of today's Ibach. The place is not named. In 1927, according to the topographic map, the sawmill became a sawmill and a dairy was added on the road towards Klaswipper . In 1962, the sawmill and in 1974 the dairy was shown on the topographic maps for the last time.
