Unterstenhof is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is in the southeast of the city of Wipperfürth on the district road K39. In Unterstenhof the Freihäuschen Bach flows into the Gaulbach . Neighboring towns are Freihäuschen , Grennebach and Dohrgaul .

The place belongs to the municipal electoral district 142 and thus to the district Dohrgaul.

history

The Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715 shows a courtyard marked “Freyhof” and a mill symbol at Unterstenhof square. However, there is no independent place name. The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 shows four separate floor plans on a delimited courtyard under the name “Unterste Hof” . From the topographic map of the years 1894 to 1896, the place name Unterstenhof, which is common today, is used.
