Philippe Van Volckxsom
Philippe Van Volckxsom (* May 1898 in Brussels ; † December 24, 1938 there ) was a Belgian ice hockey player , speed skater and rower .
Van Volckxsom was part of the Belgian national ice hockey team at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp . The only game in this tournament was lost 8-0 to Sweden and Belgium finished seventh and last as hosts. At the 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc , he again competed for Belgium in ice hockey and took part in speed skating over 500 meters, 1500 meters and in all-around competitions. Most recently he was active as a rower at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam with Carlos Van den Driessche as a partner.
