Oberholl is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is in the southwest of the city of Wipperfürth on the city limits to Hückeswagen near the federal highway 506 . Neighboring towns are Lamsfuß , Arnsberg , Schniffelshöh , Grüterich and Wipperfeld .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate of electoral district 16 (160) Wipperfeld in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1443 the place is mentioned for the first time under the name "in the Hole" in an income and rights list of the Cologne Apostelstift. The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows two courtyards at the place of Oberholl and designates them with "Holl" . The topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1824 shows on the enclosed courtyard under the name “Ob. Holl ” three separate floor plans.
