Hilgersbrücke is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).
Location and description
The place is in the west of the city of Wipperfürth in the valley of the river Wupper . In the area of the village, the Mosser Bach flows into a branch of the Wupper. Neighboring towns are Hammern , Wipperhof , Mosse and Kleppersfeld .
Hilgersbrücke is politically represented by the direct candidate from the electoral district 17.1 (171) Hammern in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.
history
In 1491 the place was named "Hilgers Huiss" in a church account of the Wipperfürth church. The topographical photograph of the Rhineland from 1825 shows four separate floor plans on a delimited courtyard under the name “Bruggen” . From the Prussian first recording in 1840, the place name is Hilgersbrücke.
