Ahlhausen is a court of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Ahlhausen is in the north of Wipperfürth on the city limits to Radevormwald. Neighboring places are Berge , Kottmannshausen , Bruch and Schwickertzhausen . The Ahlhausersiepen rises in the east of the Hofschaft and flows into the Bever at Kottmannshausen .

The Hofschaft can be reached via the Wipperfürth urban area via the K13 district road and some small roads leading through the village of Egen.

The local full-time farm business generates its income with arable farming, grassland management, silviculture, keeping dairy cattle, raising young cattle and rearing pigs. The North Rhine-Westphalia Chamber of Agriculture has recognized the farm as a training facility.

The place was first mentioned in 1548. "Ahlhusen" is mentioned in the lists of the Bergisch tension and barge services .

The road leading from Kottmannshausen in the direction of Bruch to Ahlhausen is of early medieval origin. It was part of a path leading from Hohenplanken via Obergraben and Kottmannshausen to Hückeswagen .

Hiking trails

A circular route marked with the A2 hiking sign passes south of Ahlhausen. The approximately 5 km long path is signposted by the Sauerland Mountain Association and has its starting point and destination at the hiking car park in the village of Wipperfürth- Egen, 1.5 km away .
