Nagelsbüchel is a village in Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ). The village belongs to the district Agathaberg .

Location and description

Nagelsbüchel is located in the south-east of Wipperfürth on the road  302 between Niedergaul and Dohrgaul .

Neighboring towns are Jägerhof , Niedergaul, Großscherkenbach , Lendringhausen and Stillinghausen . Nagelsbüchel is one of 49 localities that belong to the Agathaberg school district .

The Gaulbach flows through the place.

Politically, Nagelsbüchel is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate from electoral district 7.2 (072) south-eastern urban area.

history

Nagelsbüchel is shown in the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825. The spelling is Buchel . From the edition from 1840 to 1844 the place name is Nagelsbüchel .

The Scheidermühle in Nagelsbüchel played an important role in 1945 after the Second World War . The grain of the mill brought the starving citizens of Wipperfürth their first bread. The house thus stands as a historical symbol for the reconstruction.

On March 3, 1947, a riding arena of the Reitverein Wipperfürth 1927 eV was opened on a sand court in a quarry near Nagelsbüchel. V. prepared, so club riding was resumed after the Second World War.

In 1999 and 2000 a pond at the Scheidermühle was dismantled. This measure was part of the renaturation measures of the Wupperverband for the Gaulbach.

Attractions

The former “Scheidermühle” watermill is located in Nagelsbüchel. It was a restaurant and hotel.
