Dörpinghausen is a village in Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The village is located in the east of Wipperfürth on a hill between the Hönnige and Ibach streams . Neighboring towns are Wasserfuhr , Hammer , Kupferberg , Wiegen and Dahl . The Dörpinghausen stream, which flows into the Hönnige, rises 300 m east of Dörpinghausen .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate of the constituency 12.1 (121) Kupferberg in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1443 the place is mentioned for the first time under the name “Dörplinchusen” in “Income and rights of the Cologne Apostelstift”. The historical map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows four farms and names them "Dörpelckusen" . From the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 onwards, the place name "Dörpinghausen" , which is in use today, is used.
