Hasselbick is a village in Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Hasselbick is located in the north of Wipperfürth, 660 m from the Neyetalsperre . Neighboring towns are Berghof , Großblumberg , Hambüchen and Harhausen . In the north of the village the Hambüchener Bach flows past, in the south of the village the Vosskuhler Siepen rises .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidates of the electoral district 02 (020) Sanderhöhe and Wolfsiepen in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1530 the place was first mentioned under the name "Haisselbyck" in church accounts of the Catholic parish of St. Nikolaus Wipperfürth. On the Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715, “Haselbeck” consists of three farms. The map topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 names the court with “Hasselbek” and shows five separate floor plans in the enclosed courtyard. With the map ( Prussian New Admission ) from 1894 to 1896, the name "Hasselbick" which is in use today is used
