Bühlstahl is a town in the town of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is near the Lindlarer Sülz brook . To the south, the Vogelberg elevation borders with a height of 323.20 meters. Two crossroads are striking, one of them directly at the entrance to the village. It bears the inscription Erected to the Glory of God by Johannpeter Müller and Anna Gertrude? Hiking and biking trails

The A2 circular hiking trail leads through Bühlstahl. From there it continues to Oberbrochhagen and Frielingsdorf . The route then leads east past Niederhabbach , on to Unterlichtinghagen , Oberhabbach and back to Bühlstahl. Overall, this circular route has a length of 8.2 km. From Bühlstahl you can also reach the "L-Weg" (circular route around Lindlar) and the X28 long-distance hiking trail.

Bühlstahl has become known far beyond the borders of Wipperfürth for its "Bergischer Krippenbauer Edgar Mais". Every now and then he can be seen on Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) or in various newspapers. Always before Christmas he opens his Christmas crib exhibition in Bühlstahl.
