Ommer is a court of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).
Location and description
The Hofschaft is located in the north of Wipperfürth, 1 km from the Neyetalsperre . Neighboring towns are the Wipperfürth district of Sanderhöhe , Sonnenschein and Berghof . The Ommersiepen, which flows into the Berghofer Bach, rises in the southeast .
Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidates of the electoral district 02 (020) Sanderhöhe and Wolfsiepen in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.
history
In 1361 Ommer is mentioned for the first time in a receipt from the Engelberg Quad about the receipt of the goods "Omerin" . On the map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715, a courtyard is shown in “Umer” . The map topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 names the court with the name "Ommer", which is still used today, and shows three separate floor plans in a delimited courtyard.
