Ritzenhaufe is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is in the west of the city of Wipperfürth. One of two source rivers of the Dhünn , the "Great Dhünn", has its source on the southern edge of the village . Neighboring towns are Heidkotten , Bochen , Wüstemünte , Kleineichhölzchen , Peddenpohl and Klingsiepen .

Politically, Ritzenhaufe is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate of the electoral district 7.1 (071) south-western urban area.

history

The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows four courtyards and denotes them with "Ritzhaufen" . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 shows four separate floor plans on a delimited courtyard under the place name "Ritzenhofen" . In the Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1844 the spelling "Ritzenhofe" is used . From the topographic maps of the years 1894 to 1896, the place name Ritzenhaufe is used.

A stone court cross from 1908 and a stone memorial cross erected in 1950 are in the local area.
