Hinterschöneberg is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is in the southwest of the city of Wipperfürth on a hill between the Schwarzenbach and the Ahe stream . Neighboring towns are Holte , Vorderschöneberg , Langensiefen and Oberschwarzen .

Politically, Hinterschöneberg is represented by the direct candidate from electoral district 7.1 (071) southwestern urban area in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1387 the place is mentioned for the first time under the name "Schonenberch" in a list of lay judges of the city of Wipperfürth. The Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715 shows a courtyard at the site of Hinterschoeneberg and describes it as "Schönenberg" . The topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1825 shows two enclosed courtyards under the common name “Schonenberg.” At the point of Hinterschönenberg, the map shows five separate floor plans. In the Prussian premiere from 1840, “Nd. Schöneberg " called. From the topographic maps from 1893 to 1896, the place name is Hinterschönenberg.
