Location of Kirchenbüchel in Wipperfürth

Kirchenbüchel is a court of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The Hofschaft is located in the north of Wipperfürth 300 m away from the "Lüttgenauer Arms" of the Bevertalsperre . Neighboring places are Unterlüttgenau , Hasenburg , Egen and Oberlüttgenau . The Kirchenbücheler Bach rises on the eastern edge of the Hofschaft and flows into the Lüttgenau .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate from electoral district 17.2 (172) Egen in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1548 the court was first mentioned under the name "op Boichgel" in the lists of the Bergisch tension and barge services . The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows a courtyard and designates it with “church bail” .

In 1913 the wayside cross at the edge of the forest to the northwest of the village was erected. This cross serves as an altar for the annual Corpus Christi procession held by the church in Egen . There is evidence that this procession has been carried out in Egen since 1873.

bus connections

There is a connection to local public transport via the “Egen” bus stop on line 337 (VRS / OVAG) in the neighboring town .

Hiking trails

The circular hiking trails A6 and A7, which are signposted by SGV , lead past the courtyard to the northeast at a distance of 140 m.
