Hollmünde is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is located in the southeast of the city of Wipperfürth on the city limits to Marienheide on a mountain range called "Klüppelberg". Neighboring towns are Nagelsgaul , Freihäuschen , Niederklüppelberg and Obergaul .

The place belongs to the municipal electoral district 142 and thus to the district Dohrgaul .

history

The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows a courtyard and names it "Holmund" . The topographical photograph of the Rhineland from 1825 shows two separate floor plans on a delimited courtyard under the name "Hohlmünte" . In the Prussian first recording from 1840 the place name is "Hollenmünde" . From the topographic map of the years 1894 to 1896, the place name Hollmünde is used today.
