history

In 1327 the place was first named "Volsculen" in an instruction from Pope John XXII. named to Archbishop Heinrich von Virneburg . The cleric "Dietrich von Volsculen" was given the parish church in Wülfrath.

On the Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715, “Voskuhl” consists of a courtyard. The map topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1825 shows two separate floor plans of buildings under the same place name in a delimited courtyard. From the topographic map from 1894 to 1896, the Hofschaft is named Vosskuhle.

In the south of the Hofschaft, the Prussian premiere shows a mill on the Hönnige stream from 1840 to 1844. According to Dr. Heribert Nicke was this mill the "Vosskuhler Hammer" . This Reckhammer was given up again in 1870.

From 1910 to 1960 the railway line fromschlag to Wipperfürth passed south of the Hofschaft. This railway line branched off from the Wippertalbahn at Wipperfürth station and connected to the Wuppertalbahn when it stopped .
