Location of Heid in Wipperfürth

Heid is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is located in the southwest of the city of Wipperfürth. A tributary of the Schwarzenbach rises to the northwest of the village . Neighboring places are Unterschwarzen , Julsiefen , Mittelschwarzen and Hof .

The place belongs to the electoral district 160 and thus to the district Wipperfeld.

history

In 1443 the place is mentioned for the first time under the name "Heyde" in an income and rights list of the Cologne Apostelstift. The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows three courtyards and designates them with "Heid" . The topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1825 shows five separate floor plans under the name “Heid” in a delimited courtyard . In the Prussian first recording from 1840 the place name is "Heide" . From the topographic map of the years 1894 to 1896, the place name Heid is used today.

Two sandstone crosses in the local area date from 1810 and 1880 .
