Holte is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is located in the southwest of the city of Wipperfürth. The Schwarzenbach flows south of the village. Neighboring towns are Kluse , Vorderschoeneberg and Hinterschoeneberg .

Politically, Holte is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate from electoral district 7.1 (071) southwestern urban area.

history

In 1443 the place is mentioned for the first time under the name "Holte" in an income and rights list of the Cologne Apostelstifts. The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows a farm and names it "Holts" . The topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1825 shows on the enclosed courtyard under the name “a. Wood ” five separate floor plans. From the Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1844, Holte is used as the place name.
