Klaswipper is a place in the city of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis and is located in southern North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ) within the administrative district of Cologne .
The only Protestant of the seven church villages in Wipperfürth belongs to the Ohl district and is located about halfway between the city center and Marienheide .
The village has a typical street development that runs parallel to the Wupper .
history
The history of the place is linked to the history of Wipperfürth and Ohl. A Protestant church was only allowed to be built in neighboring Wipperfürth in 1788, after it was united with the Klaswipper community.

Between 1834 and 1837 the Protestant church was built in the classicist style based on the normal Schinkel church. The quarry stone church has a west tower and a pyramid roof. The richly decorated pulpit altar is a sight to see. The church can be visited by appointment.

Klaswipper is connected by bus route 336 to Wipperfürth as well as to Hückeswagen and Remscheid - Lennep .
Streets
The federal highway 237 from Remscheid and Hückeswagen to Wipperfürth , Ohl , Kierspe and Meinerzhagen runs directly through the place.
Former rail link
The Klaswipper stop was on the Wippertal Railway (Bergisch Born – Marienheide), which has since been converted into a railway cycle path.
