Vorderwurth is a court of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The Hofschaft is located in the northeast of Wipperfürth south of the village of Kreuzberg . Neighboring towns are Hinterwurth , Kupferberg and Schleise . The Vorderwurther Siepen, which flows into the Schleise stream, rises in the village .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate of electoral district 11 (110) Kreuzberg in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1443, Vorderwurth was first mentioned in "Income and Rights of the Cologne Apostle Monastery" with the place name "Word" . The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from the year 1715 shows two courtyards in separate places and designates them uniformly with "Wurdt" . In the topographical survey of the Rhineland map from 1825, the courts are given their own place names. "Front. Word “ is now the place name. From the Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1844, the name "Vorderwurth" , which is common today, is used.
