Niederklüppelberg is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is located in the southeast of the city of Wipperfürth on the K39 district road on the northern edge of a ridge called "Klüppelberg". Neighboring towns are Klaswipper , Ohl , Hollmünde and Schollenbach .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate from constituency 13 (130) Ohl and Klaswipper in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

Around 1487 the place is first named "Kluppelberg" in loan lists for Wilhelm III. called by Berg . The Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715 shows five farms on two separate settlement areas and designates them uniformly with "Klippelberg" . The topographical photograph of the Rhineland from 1825 shows nine separate floor plans in a delimited courtyard under the name “Klüppelberg” . Two settlement areas for Klüppelberg are also shown on this map. In the Prussian first recording from 1840, the place name of the settlement areas is “Nd. Klüppelberg " and " Ob. Klüppelberg " . From the topographic map of 1990, the Oberklüppelberg district is no longer listed independently. The district is now a street name in Ohl.

The "Höhenzug Klüppelberg" located south of the village gave its name to the Klüppelberg community, which was independent from 1808 to the end of 1974 .
