Grunewald is a village in the district of hammering the city Wipperfurth in Oberbergischer Kreis in Region of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ). In addition to this Grunewald, there are also the villages of the same name in Wipperfürth, Grunewald in the Agathaberg district and Grunewald in the Wipperfeld district .

Location and description

The village is located in the west of the city of Wipperfürth on the border with Hückeswagen in the valley of the river Wupper . The federal road 237 (B 237) running between Hückeswagen and Wipperfürth crosses the village. Neighboring towns are Jostberg , Hammern and the district of Mühlenberg, which belongs to Hückeswagen .

Politically, Grunewald is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate from the electoral district 17.1 (171) Hammern.
