Levenhausen is a village in Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Levenhausen is in the north of Wipperfürth on the "Stooter Arm" of the Bevertalsperre . Neighboring towns are Kotten , Bruch , Güttenhausen and Müllensiepen . The Levenhausener Siepen flows 125 m northeast of the outskirts into the Moorbach .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate from electoral district 17.2 (172) Egen in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows two farms and names them "Levenhusen" . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 already uses the place name "Levenhausen" in use today .
