Beinghausen is a village in Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

Beinghausen is in the north of Wipperfürth. Neighboring towns are Egen , Birkenbaum , lesenbüchen and Gardeweg . The Beinghausener Bach, which flows into the Lüttgenau brook, has its source in the village .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate from electoral district 17.2 (172) Egen in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

The bus line 337 ( VRS / OVAG ) provides a connection to local public transport. The stop is in the neighboring town of Egen, 350 m away.

history

In 1531 the place is mentioned for the first time in church accounts of the Catholic parish of St. Nikolaus in Wipperfürth under the spelling "Begenkuyssen". In the map topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 the place name is "Beninghausen". From the official topographic map ( Prussian new record ) from 1894 to 1896, the name "Beinghausen", which is in use today, is used.

In 1892 the sandstone wayside cross was built in the village .
