Harhausen is a village in Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The village is located in the east of Wipperfürth in the valley of the Hönnige stream . Neighboring towns are Meddenbick , Hönnige , Leuchtenbirken , the Wipperfürth district of Leiersmühle , and Vosskuhle . The Meddenbick , Harhausener Bach and Vosskuhler Siepen waters flow into the Hönnige in the local area.

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate from electoral district 03 (030) northeastern urban area in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

In 1212 the abbot of St. Pantaleon's conciliation document mentions a witness "Leonem de Harhusin" . However, this location is considered unsafe. It was not until 1469 that the assignment to today's Harhausen can be considered certain. "Reinolt Peffersacs Halfwin zo Harhausen" is listed in a tax list of the parish of Dhünn . On the Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715, “Horhusen” consists of a courtyard. The map topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 shows under the place name "Harhausen" on two enclosed courtyards, three building plans lying apart from each other.

From 1910 to 1960 the railway line fromschlag to Wipperfürth passed south of the Hofschaft. This railway line branched off from the Wippertalbahn at Wipperfürth station and connected to the Wuppertalbahn when it stopped .
