Friedrichsthal is located in eastern Wipperfürth on the L302 road between Wipperfürth and Frielingsdorf . Neighborhoods are Teufelswiese , Jägerhof , Nagelsbüchel , Peppinghausen and Dohrgaul .

The place name Friederichstal appeared for the first time in the topographic map from 1962 . The 1927 edition refers to the farms on the Gaulbach as zu Peppinghausen . The Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1844 noted for the first time in the area of ​​Friederichtal the bone mill built by Chr. Goller in 1835 , but here without a location. The mill is no longer listed on the 1927 map.
