Reading Büchen is a village in Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).
Location and description
Reading books is in the north of Wipperfürth. Neighboring places are Hohenbüchen , Vossebrechen , Gardeweg and Beinghausen . The Lüttgenau stream, which flows into the Bevertalsperre, rises in the village . The Hohenbuch Bach river, which flows past in the west, flows into the Lüttgenau 450 m southwest of the outskirts.
history
In 1715, a single farm is shown on the Topographia Ducatus Montani map under the place name "Lessenbüchen" . From the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 onwards, the place is labeled with the place name "lesenbüchen " , which is in use today . This map shows the place on two separate courtyards and shows four individual building floor plans.
The concrete wayside cross of the village dates from the 20th century . The cross was formerly the station of a procession.
Hiking trails
The circular hiking trail marked with the A1 hiking sign leads through the village. The 3 km long path is signposted by the Sauerland Mountain Association and starts and ends at the hiking car park in the village of Egen .
