Stüttem is located in the south of the urban area of ​​Wipperfürth on the border with Lindlar . Neighboring towns are Graben , Schlade , Fähnrichstüttem and Oberkemmerich .

history

In 1374 the place was first mentioned in a document with the place name Stutem . In a document from the Historical Archive Cologne it is noted that the farm belongs to the property of the Cologne St. Ursulastiftes and is one of the lower courts of the Fronhof Steinenbrück. The historical map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows a single farm and names it “mares” .
