Küppersherweg is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is southeast of the city of Wipperfürth. In the south of Küppersherweg the Peppinghausen brook , which flows into the Gaulbach, flows past. Neighboring towns are Lendringhausen , Egerpohl , Altensturmberg and Peppinghausen .

Politically, Küppersherweg is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate from electoral district 7.2 (072) south-eastern urban area.

history

The first documented mention of Küppersherweg as "Herweghe" in 1443 is uncertain, as there are four places with -herweg in their name in Wipperfürth. The Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715 shows three courtyards at the location of Küppersherweg and names them “Herweg” . The topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1825 shows three floor plans in the enclosed courtyard, also under the name “Herweg” . From the Prussian first recording from 1840 to 1844, the place name Küppersherweg is used.
