Lendringhausen is a small town in Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in southern North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ) within the administrative district of Cologne .

Location and description

Lendringhausen is located in the easternmost urban area of Wipperfürth on a ridge up to 380 m high between the Wipper and Gault valleys. The small settlement is at the end of the Ostlandstrasse, which, coming from Wipperfürth, ends in Lendringhausen. Lendringhausen consists entirely of single-family houses and several farms.

The Lendringhauser Siepen, which flows into the Gaulbach, rises on the southern edge of the village . A tributary of the Wupper , the Maßberger Bach, rises in the northeast . Neighboring towns are Stillinghausen , Küppersherweg and Peppinghausen .

Politically, Lendringhausen is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate from electoral district 12.2 (122) Niederwipper.

history

In 1435 the place was first mentioned under the name "Lenderinckhusen" . The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows three courtyards at the location of Lendringhausen and designates them with "Lingerhusen" . The topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1825 shows four floor plans on a delimited courtyard under the name “Leininghausen” .
