Kleinfastenrath is a village in Wipperfürth in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The village is located in the east of Wipperfürth on a hill between the Kerspe and Ibach streams, one kilometer from the Kerspe dam . Neighboring towns are Ibach , Boxbüchen , Dahl , Speckenbach , Großfastenrath , Im Hagen and Klaswipper . In the village lies the source of the Kleinfastenrather Bach , which flows into the Speckenbach 250 m southeast of the outskirts .

Politically, the place is represented by the direct candidate from constituency 13 (130) Ohl and Klaswipper in the council of the city of Wipperfürth.

history

1445 "Vastenroede" is mentioned in the church accounts of the Catholic parish of Sankt Nikolaus Wipperfürth. In it "Aelff and Hanne van Vestenroede as church masters" are listed by St. Nicholas. The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows under the name “kl. Fastenrodt “ four courtyards. The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 shows in the locality “Kl. Fastenrath “ four individual building floor plans.
