Klingsiepen is a village in the municipality of Wipperfürth in the Oberbergisches Kreis in the administrative district of Cologne in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The place is in the southwest of the city of Wipperfürth near the federal highway 506 , which was an important military route between Cologne and Dortmund in the Middle Ages . The Weinbach and Oberweinbach streams flow past to the east of the village . Neighboring towns are Kluse , Peddenpohl , Wildblech , Weinbach , Erlen and Holte .

Two of the Wipperfürth industrial areas are located in Klingsiepen. "Klingsiepen Nord", located directly around the town of Klingsiepen, and "Klingsiepen Süd", which extends from Klingsiepen towards Weinbach.

Politically, Klingsiepen is represented in the council of the city of Wipperfürth by the direct candidate from electoral district 7.1 (071) south-western urban area.

history

The Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715 shows three courtyards and names them "Klingsiepen" . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1825 shows four separate floor plans in the enclosed courtyard in Klingsiepen.
