Wonsaponatime is the title of a compilation album of John Lennon , the 21 tracks from the four-CD box John Lennon Anthology summarizes and it is the eleventh posthumous album of Lennon's death in 1980. published the same time, including eight solo studio albums, the three avant-garde albums with his wife Yoko Ono , the two live albums , the two interview albums and the compilation albums , John Lennon's 23rd album. It was released on November 2, 1998 in the UK and November 3, 1998 in the US .

History of origin

EMI released a single CD at the same time as the John Lennon Anthology , which included eleven edited (abridged) versions that were not published on the four-CD box. The CD contains a 15-page booklet that is glued in, which contains song texts, explanations of the individual tracks and an introduction by Yoko Ono.

It was released in CD format in November 1998; the double LP was released on January 18, 1999.

Cover design

The cover design was done by Roger Gorman / Reiner Design NYC and Yoko Ono. The colored cover drawing is by John Lennon.

The CD has not yet been re- mastered .

Single releases

No single was released from the album. In the USA, two CD promotional singles Happy Xmas (Rough Mix '71) / Be-Bop-A-Lula   and I'm Losing You / Only You were   distributed to radio stations, but they did not appear as regular sales singles.
