History of origin

As part of promotional work for the November 1980 album Double Fantasy , John Lennon and Yoko Ono conducted several interviews with radio stations and magazines. On December 6, 1980, the couple conducted a three-hour interview with Andy Peebles for BBC Radio 1 . The interview was conducted at Hit Factory Studio , where John Lennon and Yoko Ono were recording the Ono title Waking on Thin Ice . The interview mainly covered the career of John Lennon from 1966 to 1980 and was recorded in stereo . In October 1990 Yoko Ono wrote a thank you for the CD booklet on the occasion of the CD release.

Cover design

The cover design was done by Mainartery. The cover photo is from Jack Mitchell. The CD comes with a six-page illustrated booklet that can be opened and which contains information about the album.

publication

The double CD was released exclusively in Great Britain. In Germany it was only available via import. The album could not place in the music charts. In February 1981 the interview was also published in book form as a paperback edition.
