Acoustic is the title of a compilation album with seven unreleased songs by John Lennon and it is the 13th posthumously released album after Lennon's death in 1980. At the same time it is including eight solo studio albums, three avant -albums with his wife Yoko Ono , of the two live albums , the two interview albums and the compilation albums , John Lennon's 25th album. It was released on November 1, 2004 in the UK and November 2, 2004 in the US .

History of origin

The album, released in November 2004 by EMI , contains 13 demos and three live recordings. The acoustic guitar, played by John Lennon, is in the foreground of all songs. The following seven titles were first published in the included version: Well Well Well , God , My Mummy's Dead , Cold Turkey , What You Got , Dear Yoko and Real Love . The other nine titles appeared in November 1998 in the John Lennon Anthology CD box . The CD comes with a 20-page illustrated booklet that contains information about the album and the lyrics to the song.

There was no publication in LP format.

On the occasion of the release, the nine title promotional compilation album Two Sides of Lennon for the albums Acoustic and Rock 'n' Roll with comments by Yoko Ono was released.
