History of origin

The second part of "Unfinished Music", which documents the life together of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, was released on Zapple, a sub-label of Apple Records . Like the previous album Unfinished Music No.1: Two Virgins, this is an avant-garde album.

The first track on the album, Cambridge 1969 , was recorded live at Lady Mitchell Hall in Cambridge on March 2, 1969 , with Yoko Ono doing the “vocal part” while John Lennon makes feedback noises with his electric guitar . Other musicians were John Tchicai ( saxophone ) and John Stevens ( drums ). The other tracks on the album were recorded on a cassette recorder between November 4 and 25, 1968, with the exception of Two Minutes Silence , which, as the title indicates, consists of two minutes of silence. At No Bed for Beatle John , both sing different newspaper article texts that contain their private life situation at the time. At Baby's Heartbeat you can hear the heartbeat of the unborn child of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. With Radio Play , Lennon manually controlled several radio stations with a radio device and recorded these noises.
